best beach in November?
Mon, 05/30/2005 - 17:04
I’m looking for suggestions on where to spend a month at the beach (anywhere in the world) in November this year. Looking mostly to just relax but some day/multi-day trips will most likely be done as well. Any comments for a place with sunny weather, good beaches (with surfing) and interesting sights nearby? I’ll be on a budget (but not too tight). Thanks for any replys.
Costa Rica.
Though November is still the tail end of rainy season. But it should still be fairly nice most of the time, most places.
Thanks, segacs, but I actually just got back from Costa Rica. Beautiful beaches but looking for someplace new. Anyone else?
The Caribbean? It’ll be too cold in November for southern Europe. How about Australia? It’s summer there.
Rio de Janeiro. Warm water, big waves, interesting sightseeing nearby (including a worthwhile daytrip to Petropolis, a mountain town that feels more European than Latin), beautiful locals, and cheap!
Why not throw in South Africa?
The places backpackers can afford would generally be in central america, like Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, or the Baha of course if you’ve got wheels. No shortage of beach there.
Fiji! Gorgeous, met tons of backpackers there, good range between hostels and budget hotels and luxury accomodations, tons of outdoor activities and sports, interesting culture….get off the main island and explore the other ones. Really a backpacker’s paradise.
