We will be in Berlin.

Right after that, would like opinions…

It will either be Berlin-Krakow-Prague-Salzburg

OR

Berlin-Prague-Krakow-Salzburg

I know the first seems to make more sense, but I thought I remember reading that the 2nd one saves more time even though it’s back tracking.

Trying to get as many night trains as we can so we have more days of sight seeing.

You really need to cut 1 or 2 cities from your overall trip. You’ll need to average 3 days per city with these large and interesting cities. I don’t see that your route for the 4 cities you mention matters much, but option 1 looks better to me. Check the train schedules at http://reiseauskunft… to see which routing works out best for time and number of connections as well as for using an overnight train. I would limit the number of overnight trains for this trip to a maximum of 4.

Oh, oops! Yes, that was the first trip plan I made just to see if it was feasible. I have since cut it back. I guess I forgot to change it! thanks!
