best Secure PRIVATE rooms, 1 BED ONLY.
Tue, 12/01/2009 - 21:25
Hey guys,
Im trying to find a safe and secure private room for me and my partner for 4-5 weeks in Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. Must be ONE bed, and have lock on the door. Cheapest as possible.
Any sugestions?
Cheers!
Tom

Try all of these:
www.hrs.de (particularly for Berlin)
www.hotelscombined.c… (site that searches numerous hotel sites at once and provides comparison prices, leading to great deals)
www.kayak.com (similar to HotelsCombined)
www.hostelbookers.co…
www.hostelworld.com (hostel sites also have budget hotels and guesthouses)
www.accorhotels.com (often excellent deals available in Europe with this hotel brand)
One thing is that you may have to be flexible. Especially at cheap places, you may not be able to book a guaranteed double bed – you can book a double room, but it might have two twin beds.
Hostels sometimes have private rooms, but rarely as cheap as a 1* or 2* hotel. There are advantages to both — namely social vs. privacy, in my opinion.
Good advice from Traveler above. Here’s some more:

As a note, we have the lowest price guaranteed for hostels in europe here at eurotrip. Please let us know if you happen to find a cheaper price anywhere and we will update our listings…
