Bird Flu (influenza)
Thu, 05/11/2006 - 21:19
Should i be worried i’m going through europe for a month, Is it a big thing out their right now?

here we go…
hi cloud nine
u can look it up on the web..but dont!.its everywhere…
and nowhere..
there will be travel warnings galore if something is out there waiting…so just plan ur trip and go
im going to croatia..if i contract anything i swear to u ,,with my dying breath ill send warning to u all! lol
no seriously ..if i can do it..u can!! go fly and see what the birdies do every day of their feathered little lives!
Romania was one of the first countries in Europe to confirm cases of avian flu. According to a doctor who recently accompanied our group to Romania, "There’s 100 other things you could get that you should be more worried about than avian influenza." His advice: handwashing, stay away from chickens (not always easy in Romania), and don’t play with dead birds(!). I don’t think Romanians were much bothered by all the fuss—we were served runny-yolk eggs at least twice.
