Although I am (currently) not blonde, I find it fascinating how often I come across mention in guidebooks of blonde, fair-skinned female travellers dealing with more hasslers than their dark-haired, dark-skinned counterparts. Any truth to this?

(True, it’s a trivial question, but after reading the post complaining abouting the alarmist nature of this forum I thought a little triviality was long overdue.)
