Am I being a fool to think I can just rock up and find a hostel to stay in?

Hoping to stay for the whole of oktoberfest..

I’m flying out in three months to spend 9 months in europe and I havent booked a thing… should I get my act together or just go with the flow?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

For a festival as big as Oktoberfest, I’d would make reservations well in advance. Sure you could get lucky & land something in the center, but the flip side is you could end up a 45 min train ride outside of the city. I’m one who is willing to wing it on most legs of my trips, but for the fest…no way…I need some guarantees. Good luck!
