Budapest or Bratislava
Thu, 12/11/2008 - 09:40
I am planning amsteradam, hamburg, berlin and prague i have 20 days to do all this so that is why i was thinking to add budapest or bratislava for the ending it will be of great help if somebody let me know which out of the two cities is more friendly and has great nightlife…….cheers
I love them both and would rate them about evenly. Since this is a short trip, I’d go with Bratislava — it’s slightly closer to the rest of your cities and if you don’t like it you’re only an hour from Vienna.
I also like both and would rate them highly as two of the better city’s I have been to. Intact I prefer both over Prague although allot of people disagree with me. As has been said Bratislava is only a very short train ride from Prague so may be better and cut down on travelling time. Its a very cheap and fairly compact capital. The drink is cheap so you can generally have a good night. But the same can be said for Budapest its also great. A larger city but loads to do and good to go out at night as well. Don’t think you can go wrong with either.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
*thanks people i’ll go to bratislava….. *
We had the same dilemma as you karan and chose Bratislava because it was closer. Disappointed that we aren’t going to Budapest but
