camera, photos, and CD's

So I left home without my USB cable for my digi camera, and can’t get the one I need in stores (im in california until monday) so I guess I have to transfer my pictures to CD all the time…
How much does that cost? Does it take a while? Im just bummed it will be more inconvenient… will it be? I plan on keeping an online journal for friends and family, so I gotta get my pictures onto computer somehow…
Well, just wondering if theres some info… tried searching, but couldn’t find how much the cost is..

It depends on where you are going.
In Spain, it was running about 4 Euro for 1 CD a couple of weeks ago.

I know other people have posted that the ‘photo shop’ places are prevalent? I’m traveling in Netherlands, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
Does anyone know what to look for in these countries to get the pictures transfered to CD? I assume not just any computer will have the software for this task.
Places and approx. cost would be helpful. Thank you.
Look for a photo store – the place that sells film, cameras, etc. Often there is a Kodak or Fujifilm sign hanging out front. Most of these places will have the technology. You don’t have to supply your own CD.
Some internet cafes will burn a CD for you, too. There’s one near Termini in Rome that’s cheap, has tons of computers with the operating systems set up in different language, has HIGH SPEED internet connections and will burn images onto your CD for 3 euros. I think it was 4 euros if you didn’t have your own CD, but I think I only paid 4 for the CD and fifteen minutes of internet access.
