I need a little clarification on the whole pack thing. I was under the impression that you have your main "big" pack and then a smaller "day" pack. I was told you could leave your big pack locked up at the hostel and need only to take a day pack out during the day. But I’ve been reading a lot of stuff where people are talking about having carried their big pack around with them all day and everywhere! So…can you leave your big pack at the hostels during the day and only take it when leaving/transferring cities/hostels, etc.? Please clarify…
