I wasnt sure which Topic this should be under, so I thought I would just give it a try. I took my 1st trip to Europe this past May. I was only there for 2 weeks. I notcied that the Pre-paid market over there seems to be more popular than the market in the U.S.

Many of the people I met seemed to purchase a cheap phone and pre-paid minutes. Is anyone familiar with how these work? I assume they work the same as in the U.S but I was curious if they are nationwide, or if they work throughout Europe.

A lot of them will work all over Europe but you’ll be better off buying a new card in every country as that’s cheaper (using a card from another country means you’ll have to pay international charges on both incoming and outgoing calls)
