charging batteries
Sun, 10/14/2007 - 23:36
HI
I will be taking an number of electronic ‘gadgets’ (i suppose) such as an ipod, digital camera, phone, etc that have in-built batteries and will need to be kept plugged into the power outlet for a considerable amount of time… say about 3-4 hours
my question is… is it really safe to leave your electronics to charge in a hostel?
maybe plug it in and keep it with you while you sleep?
are there any other options?

I found a similar question posted on the forum a while back and there was a short answer
is this the general consensis
I only ask because i don’t wanna be hanging around a hostel for 4 or so hours waiting for my batteries to be charged…
Do you have to charge these things every day? You could think about getting single rooms occasionally if you’re very worried. Otherwise, I wouldn’t feel bad about charging a battery in its own charging terminal, but if you have to plug your camera/ipod/etc in directly, I wouldn’t leave those lying around for hours.
For your more expensive things and thing you really don’t want to leave, ie ipod or camera, try rechargable batteries…so you can jsut plug the battiers in, and for the ipod get a protable cahrger and put the batteries in that?
