I am planning a trip to Vancouver, Canada sometime early August. My ideal times would be Aug 1st-11th, but I am somewhat flexible. i would leave on a thursday night and could return between thursday and sunday of the next week.

Amtrak is horrible, they have just about two trips to BC running per day, both of which require an overnight when using amtrak from pdx. Otherwise you have to take a bus which makes the trip like 9 hours total.

All I can find is like 259$ roundtrip on orbitz, travelocity etc. Is that as good as it gets for now?
