I am going to Pisa, Italy on the 19th of November this year and was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that was cheap to stay for the night. My usual option – of sleeping in the airport – will be no use this time round because I am led to believe that the airport is not open 24 hours a day. So I was looking for somewhere that will keep me warm for only 1 night.

Hostels in the main city centre of near the airport will be great (or even if anyone knows what time the airport opens) – that would be good also, cos staying awake all night is also an option.

Thanks in advance,

Gazz

Something around the 20 Euro mark.

I have found out that the airport opens at 4am, so only really need somewhere to sleep for a couple of hours before heading to the airport.

A list of Hostels, etc would help.

Apparently there is a hostel near the Leaning Tower. Less than 20 Euros a night I believe. Check online or any travel guide. Have you thought about sleeping in the train station? It is only a 20 minute walk from the airport.

There are a few cheap Italy hotels just a short tax drive away from the airport, sadly I can’t remember the names though. I stayed in one of the hostels near the airport once and had quite a bad experience thanks to poor staff and that has put me off ever trying a hostel again.

Life… I’ve seen some wonders… I play my stupid games with you…

When does your flight depart from Pisa?
What is your stop before Pisa?
Why not look at staying in Florence or other town with more to offer and take a morning train to Pisa. Just a thought!
Pisa train station is Gypsie heaven and you wont’ get a lick of sleep in the train station.

hey delfrio,
I hope you can give me some advice about Europe tour. I will arrive Rome 1st and like to see Rome, Florance, Piza and Venice in Italy and then go for Paris and stay there for 3 days and after that go to Stockholm and stay with the relatives and then back home from there. What is your best suggestion to see more places but will be economic. How many days I have to stay in Italy to see all the places I mentioned / or maybe yu have better idea. I have no time limitation but have to be careful about my pocket. Can I do it with 1500 $?
Thanks in advance and waiting your reply.

You know cheap lodging is not always the ugly picture that the word ‘cheap’ might create in our minds it could be a real good surprise. I really have visit many B&B accommodations around Europe and especially in the UK and the experience has always been wonderful

I think Florence is a great place as compared to Pisa but then that could be said for quite a few other places in France. I would usually pick a city to visit on the basis of what I want to see. If you’d like a place that is rich in cultural heritage or places that are a treat for their architecture. I feel that Edinburgh in UK is a fantastic place, I can say that because I have recently visited Edinburgh and the place is treat.

You can always visit Brussels or Barcelona and even London but Edinburgh is special. Also Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast are amongst the best and I bet ya that they aren’t steeply priced. You’ll have a good time.

I like Florence too! With that said, there are cheap hotels available there. You just have to do your research!Smile
