I am trying to find a flight from either Washington D.C. or NYC (I can drive if need be). We are going to London and then traveling throughout Europe for 2 weeks. Leaving on Sept. 13th coming back on Sept. 27th. I have researched and looked at pretty much every site. I saw the iceland express deal, but everything that I have read is steering me away from that route. So I am asking everyone here for help. I just need to find the cheapest flight out there with a somewhat reputable airline. Thanks for all the help!!!

I am leaving from Washington D.C. with $2500 for 15 days
London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Prague

What’s the cheapest you’ve found so far besides the Iceland Express, and where have you looked? Are your dates set in stone? The cheapest I see doing a few quick searches is IAD-LON in the $690 range. I also see IAD-LON, PRG-IAD for $760 on Delta. I bet Don finds something cheaper Wink

Try this one. http://www.screwthea…

I believe that will help you as you are flying in the US. Many helpful tips there for you to bargain on US airlines. Smile I use that often in my travel too.

It’s a good feeling to save some bucks when you travel. Hope that helps you.

Being a bargain traveler has a lot of advantages Smile

Curious… why not Iceland Express? What did you see that is “steering (you) away from that route?”

That 760 Augustin found is really good.

Start with ITA and search from was; phl;nyc to LON; par;AMS;CGN;MUC; prg;BER;FRA;BRU

If you can depart the 14th for 2 weeks, I see JFK-LHR $653 total on Kuwait Airways, nonstop. You can get a hop back to London near the end of your trip with a low-cost airline (just mind the baggage and other fees!). Or, to LON and back from BRU for 707.

From Dulles, cheapest I’m seeing is 758 (Heathrow, your dates).

This is a quick check, and I did not check a lot of sources or consolidators for you. Once you find a good city combination you like, run it through Cfares, Kayak, Momondo, and the consolidators listed in our new user thread—top of this forum.

For Sept. from IAD, mid-700s on a multi-city itinerary is pretty good, and I’d probably book it. It might drop to high 500s, but it could as well go to the 900s—depends a lot on how fuel prices move.

The reviews that I read were talking alot about random cancellations without explanation and extreme delays at the airport itself(mind you I know that this can happen with any airline, but it just seemed very prevalent with this airline). If anyone has used that airline please feel free to post. Also the cheapest that I have found is about the same prices that yuou all have posted. I did find a flight from BWi-LHr, the from AMS-Bwi for 558 like a week ago, but didn’t book it and now it is back up to 790. What do you think the chances are of it going back down to that price?

Chances on BWI-LHR/AMS-BWI ~ Sep. 13-27 dropping to 558 = very low. However, before giving up on it, I would hunt the exact airports and dates you found on this fare, with every other source available. Check it early mornings especially over the next several days. It might open back up.

Are you under 26 or a full time student?

I am both of those. I looked at STA and student universe also. I have the flight number and everything for the $558 flight so I will be looking like you said.

If I were you I’d take an open-jaw itinerary over a roundtrip unless the price difference is really significant (over $100)).

STA has IAD-LON, PRG-LON for $750 on British Airways, non-stop outbound and a stop in London on the way back.
