Cheapest ticket from Montreal to Europe
Sun, 04/06/2008 - 13:08
I’m planning my trip for the end of august (25-29), and I was wondering which city in Europe would be the cheapest for me to arrive in.
Im planning my return on september 22 one or two days longer or shorter.
If I could have some tips from you guys that would be great.
THANKS in advance
Paris looks like a decent option. I see $843 leaving August 25-September 20 or $818 August 26-September 26 on Air Transat (prices are in Canadian dollars).
With Air Transat, it’s also pretty easy to arrange an open-jaw flight (fly into one city and depart from another city), which is probably the best option in your case if you are traveling around Europe.
Start here: www.eurotrip.com/for…
I’d guess Paris, because there’s competition from Transat, Corsair (and AC?). Also check Canadian Affair for UK airfares (see new user thread).
just so you know, i paid 750$ last summer for a Montreal-Vienna round trip of about 3 weeks and i left august 16th, so that’s pretty close to your dates. I booked my ticket 2 weeks before departure … It was with Air Transat.
i’m not saying to wait till the last minute, but definitely check out Air Transat. They have flight to France, Brussel, Vienna, Athens, Rome and London(i think).
hmmmmm i have seen an add in the metro that says they sell ticket as cheap as 200$ all the way from montreal to london and other capitals in europe.
i’ll go and take a look at the add again since i forgot the name and post it here.
But if anybody knows what im talking about pls do inform me.
my mother is planning on going to Russia and i am looking for the cheapest way to get across the ocean.
Those ads are typically for one-way fares, for very restricted dates, with substantial taxes and fees additional. In other words, the price listed does not mean much.
hmmmm so you think it’s better to get a good deall for let’s say 700$ round trip?
and do you have any info on how much a flight to Russia or Ukraine would cost from Montreal?
any date would be fine
thx
~Rus
You can give those agencies a try, and who knows, they might have something, but I just wouldn’t count on it.
Take a look at cheap fares within Europe to Russia or Ukraine:
www.whichbudget.com
The thing is, I don’t think either Russia or Ukraine tends to have as cheap budget flights as much of the rest of Europe does. So the strategy of getting as cheap a flight as possible to anywhere in Europe, and then taking a budget flight to Russia or Ukraine might not be as effective here. But give it a try anyway.
If you are looking for just a cheap flight to somewhere in Europe:
