cheapest transport between london, amsterdam and barcelona
Thu, 09/01/2011 - 11:26
A friend and I are planning a small eurotrip from 5th to 20th October. We are planning on going from london to amsterdam and then barcelona. We arent sure which is the cheapest and best way to get there nor whether we are missing out on some other cool places along the way? We wanted to be able to spend at least 5 days in each place but that leaves us with another 5 days to spend somewhere else, any opinions on what is a “must-do” in europe? does anyone have any advice regarding cheapest travel?
I’d start by looking for cheap flights. Use www.whichbudget.com to see which low fare airlines flybwhich routes and see our “cheap flights” forum for more links, search engines, tips and help.
The train will be as fast as flying between London and Amsterdam, but is often more expensive. Look for cheap leisure fares and other specials for Eurostar, the channel train, at www.Eurostar.com. Train or bus/ferry/train or bus is seldom enough cheaper than flying to be worth the whole day and significant hassle involved.
