Ryan Air is probably cheapest and fastest. Buy your ticket on-line from their site: http://www.ryanair.c… There may be other low fare airlines that fly this route. Look for them at www.whichbudget.com and check our “cheap flights” forum.

Is there anything special about the Dublin to Holyhead ferry that makes it a must?

If not then I guess we too will just use RyanAir to go Dublin to London. Or Aer Lingus.

I am leaving from Little Rock, AR with $2200 for 28 days
London, Arles, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, Interlaken, Florence, Riomaggiore, Rome, Athens, Ýdra

IMO, no. The hover craft ferries are pretty much giant metal tubes. There’s really nothing to see and it’s too cold and windy to be outside. It’s pretty much like being on a jumbo jet that’s wide enough to have an on-board food court with McDonalds and a giant duty free shop in the center aisle. It’s been a decade since I took it, but at that time, the train to Holyhead was definitely something to avoid.
