Hi there
I really need some help with the whole clothes issue. This will be my first time backpacking alone without the help of family and closets in family’s houses. I really want to pack light so I’d love to know what other girls out there consider essential as far as clothes go, and what I’d be better off leaving behind.
I’m going to Ireland for two weeks at the end of August/early September. I’m not the girly-girl type and don’t plan on taking a dress or skirts. I’m planning on doing a lot of hiking and biking and a bit of pubbing. Since I can’t be bothered packing for it, I’ll probably skip the club scene since I get enough of that at home.
Obviously socks, bra, and undies are a must, but how many of each? What are the best types of clothes for washing and drying? I know jeans take ages to dry, are hospital, khakis, and cargo pants a better way to go keeping in mind that I’m dressing for comfort, not fashion. I’m thinking I should take a pair of shorts just in case I get some nice weather.
Thanks for any help in advance… I need it!
Cheers
Kirsty
