Alright, here’s the deal. Sometime in the next few years, I’m a high school Jr and the parents are totally not into the Europe trip, I will be going back to Europe. I spent 2 weeks in England and France there last summer. I plan on visiting Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Greece. I’m a bit confused about the Eurail passes though. I know they would probably be the best bet with all the places that I want to go so I have a few question.
1. Do they work everywhere like the city metros or just trains traveling from one city to the next. Would I havt to buy metropasses in cities?
2. To board a train is all you need to do, show up and show them your pass or do you need to call in advance?
3. Do Eurail passes work on sleeper cars and overnight trips as well or just during the day?
Sorry if these questions sound stupid but the Eurail pass is about the only thing I’m confused about. Thanks for any help you can give me.
