Cool Places in Berlin?
Sat, 05/05/2012 - 03:53
Hey a few friends and I are going to Berlin soon and we already have a little idea of how stuff is done but could anyone who is rather familiar with the city give us a few tips on where to go out (both eating and having a good night out) without completely emptying our wallets. If there are any particular districts we should check out for that stuff that would be very helpful to know.
I am traveling for 19 days
Barcelona, Nice, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels

Berlin is a great city to experience on the cheap. Check out East Berlin for the best nightlife and restaurants. Off the top of my head, hang out in mauerpark for a really cool vibe and some cheap bars. There are also some really cool food stalls and bars along the wall on an artificial beach right across the street from the central station.
But never mind all this, just explore. You will find some really great, cheap spots in Berlin. One of my favorite cities in the world.
Reykjavik, London, Lille, Berlin, Kraków, Lviv, Istanbul, Selçuk, Pamukkale, Kızkalesi, Göreme, Kars, Bat'umi, Akhalts'ikhe, Tbilisi, Telavi, Istanbul

We loved this affordable restaurant-on-a-boat in Berlin, and enjoyed the bohemian Kreuzberg neighborhood. We stayed at Fabrik hostel.
