Including yourself?  Or does your fictional “canvas tent campground” not count as spam?  Your obviously ridiculous, off-topic posts have never been deleted and you have never been banned.  Auher created a site that directly mirrors this site whose main goal is to steal members which he openly advertised here.  This was an underhanded attack on all that the members of eurotrip have worked on over the past ten plus years and was not to be tolerated.  I admit Travalista’s warning may have been a bit rash, as stated in a previous post.  I’m sorry if you don’t like the way these boards have been run, but my main goal here is to provide a forum for people to discuss backpacking in Europe.  You have every right to go harass people on another forum if you wish.

I used to be a regular on Etrip but haven’t posted here in years.  Arrived here via the whole Auher ban controversy and couldn’t stop laughing at this thread.  Thanks, DWOP, whoever you are, for cheering me up on a snowy Monday morning.

Ha! The only underhanded attack is banning people like auher who built this site. A group of us back in the late 90’s made this place what it was, then some corporation decided to try to profit from our success. That led to the downfall of this place resulting in other homemade sites where we could still be ourselves and have a good time. This site IS a shell of its former self. Eurotrip used to be a place to meet other travelers (I’ve met prbably met nearly 100), exchange information, and have fun. Now it’s just a dry information site with no character whatsoever. Don’t give me any of your ‘attack on all the members of eurotrip have worked on over the past ten plus years’ garbage. That is me and several others. How dare you speak for the people who really put this place on the map!

Lock this one too. I am sick of getting kicked in the side by the Eurotrek boot.
 
OK, we get it. You all left when this site got bad. We are trying to change things. Maybe you guys from Eurotrek could visit more and give some good advise instead of the negative crap. You all obviously are SOOO much better than we are.
