First trip to Costa Brava coming up in April. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced hostel/room/apartment in an accessible town along the coast?

Dates : April 15 to 20th.
 
Checked the websites but numbers are overwhelming. Would appreciate some input from someone who actually has visited.
