Costa Rica, Traveling to?
Sun, 12/03/2006 - 19:29
We are planning a trip to Costa Rica. We would liketo know locals hotels or hostel we can stay? We love to go to the beaches, so please let me know the best beaches. Places to visit and any other info that someone wants to shared would be awesome.
If you love beaches go down to Puerto Viejo, its on the carribbean side and near Pananma. It’s slightly more arid than the rest of Costa Rica, but its beautiful, and the beaches are perfect! This part of Costa Rica has a slightly more rasta feel if thats your thing! Monte Verde, or surrounding towns, is breathtaking. It has the Santa Elena Cloud Forest close by (if not in it) where you can do zip lining! In Monte Verde we also did horseback riding ($20 for 3 hours!—sorry I can’t remember the name of the place, but Monte Verde isn’t very bid anyways) over the ridges of the mountains! You may also want to check out the area surrounging Arenal and the Arenal volcanoe, its been erupting constrantly for over 20 years, which makes it safer since the chance of huge burst is unlikely, and you can acutally see the lava at night time! Good choice of going to Costa Rica…wish I could go back!
Thank you for your suggestion. It always helps when someone knows the place.
