Cotswold Villages
Sat, 07/28/2007 - 20:07
Anybody here been to the Cotswolds in England? I’m thinking of going there for a few days as part of a trip to Britain and the continent in October of this year. Interested in seeing doing walking treks or cycling between villages. What villages would you recommend us to stay? Prefer less touristy areas (not sure how busy the area will be in October) and don’t need extravagant lodging. We will most likely be there midweek.
Thanks in advance.
J

When I was there I cycled throughout the cotswolds and it was very nice. Can’t give you any specifics as it
was a very long time ago.

Nice short walk: Moreton-in-Marsh (Rail station) to Stow-on-the-wold to Lower and Upper Slaughter to Bourton-on-the-Water. Buses run back to Moreton. Lodging is expensive but Stow has a small hostel in the middle of town.
