This may sound stupid, but 1) I’ve never traveled on a train before and 2) this is my first trip to Europe. But, do the couchette or sleeper compartments have little lights over the beds, such as the individual lights over a bus or airplane seat? I just want to know whether I should invest in a small book light. Also, I have a 1st class rail pass, what difference will that make in sleeping accomodations such as quality? Thanks!
