Anyone use or involved with this couchsurfing community for crashing on couches around the world? Just curious, as someone mentioned it to me today.

I’ve used it, had some great experiences. You can check the reviews on ones your interested in, its a great way to save $$ & get some local tips
Yeah, but you can also catch bed bugs, avian flu, aids, and other stds. So is it really worth the money you save??
All of the above can happen at hostels—or posh resort hotels.
My kid has used Couchsurfing quite a bit the past couple years, and actually found a place to live that way. Even oldsters such as myself use it, and I have signed up.
I am moving this thread to Hostels.
I just signed up today, trying to find a place to stay in London. Does anyone who has used the site have tips for the best way to find a host?
Hey rob_co2, just FYI you can’t catch AIDS or STD’s from a bed. That eliminates 50% of your worries.
The fact is, Europeans are very dangerous, havent you seen all those videos of tourists having their heads cut off with swords?? If you want to interact with them, do so only in a public place. If you go back to their home you could be murdered then raped, or raped then murdered, either way its bad (and then you’ll have aids). Europe should be treated like a national park, take only pictures and leave only footprints. And that means don’t be bringing all kinds of european stuff back home to america, immigration will catch you and you will be waterboarded.
no, but u can catch the hiv from european whores, ask me how I know
It may be that psychiatric exams, not just longevity, should be required for senior member status here.
Quite possibly the funniest thing ive heard all week.
if thats the funniest thing you’ve heard all week, i think you wanna get out more mate.
rob is completely silly
.
anyways, according to the couch surfing website, there are no couches in Scotland.
or am i just horrid at surfing?
some one help me?
FYI: I added a link to this website in our directory.

Did you check under United Kingdom? Glasgow alone has 385.
Navigating the site is a bit tricky the first time.
