Here’s the time line for that A330 that had the fuel &quotroblem".

Experts probing the cause of an engine failure which forced an Airbus A330 to make an emergency landing after gliding more than 180 kilometers without power said a fuel leak was responsible. Both the jet’s engines cut out when it was 9,600 meters (32,000 feet) above the Atlantic and it glided 100 nautical miles (185 kilometers) before making an emergency landing at Terceira island’s Lajes airport in the Azores last Friday(24Aug).

The experts said that a preliminary inspection of the plane’s engines showed that a fuel pipeline to the right engine was broken, according to Lusa.

Timeline :

0525GMT: Fuel leak is noticed and Captain Robert Piche diverts the flight to Lajes.
0545GMT: Crew signals to Santa Maria aviation control in the Azores that they are facing an emergency.
0613GMT: Crew says the nº2 engine has cut out.
0626GMT: Crew signals that the nº1 engine has also cut out and they are preparing to ditch into the Atlantic.
0646GMT: The A330 makes a night landing at Lajes on runway 33 after a powerless approach.

(Ed. Note)Eddie, this a perfect ex. of GREAT pilots, they had one try and they did it.
