Where are you flying from?

I booked a trip to Cuba a few years ago with an agency in Toronto. See it below, Holiday Outlet:
I got a really good price, so the next year I booked another trip with them to Dominican Republic.

Nivid, you’ve been to Cuba? What was your take on it and where did you go?
I went to Cayo Coco, Cuba in 2004 (a little island off of the North coast). It was beautiful, and the beaches have great white sand. However, I really didn’t enjoy the food. Everything tasted like cardboard. I thought that maybe it was just the resort that I stayed at, but i’ve heard the same from a lot of other people.
I also went to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic in 2005. The beaches were not nearly as nice as in Cayo Coco (no white sand), but the food made up for it.
If you go to Punta Cana in the DR, there are white sand beaches though, so it’s the best of both worlds, I guess.
Yep I know where Cayo Coco is, my uncle lives not to far from there. They say the beaches of Varadero are far better but I’m going by what I’ve always heard growing up.
Wow I’ve never heard that said about the food, but again my references are people that go visit family. Never really discussed Cuba as a tourist destination.
I haven’t been to Puerto Plata but there are also gorgeous white sand beach in St. John, which is right off of St. Thomas.
Yeah, i’ve heard that Varadero is great too.
I’m sure that Cuban food served outside a tourist resort would be great. Just not the stuff that I had. Regardless of what I thought of the food, it’s not enough to stop me from going back.
It’s really nice to just take that kind of trip every few years, just to relax. I’m going to Hawaii this upcoming season. I really can’t wait.
It’s funny you say that. My family is pretty much planning a trip to Niagra falls and Canada during the end of Nov possibly Dec during the holidays. Needless to say it’s going to be freezing!
I’ve been pulling out all the arguements to make it a Hawaiian vacation instead! Have you looked at air fare yet?
Yeah, i’ve been checking out arifare (it’s hard not too!!).
We are renting a house on Oahu for about 10 days, and are just waiting to get confirmed dates before we decide to book airfare. I’m getting really anxious to book some tickets but it’s still early yet, so not to worry. We are going late March into the first few days of April.
I live on the East coast so it’s a really long trip (I think around 16 hrs). I’m breaking it up by stopping over for a few days in Vancouver.
Have you looked into tickets yet? Have you found any good deals?
I haven’t been to Niagra Falls, but it would be really cold there that time of year. I think you should convince them to go Hawaiian.
I’ve taken a quick look at some of the airfares but haven’t scoured the sites looking for deals yet. It is a long flight though a little over 12 hours from Miami. I’ll let you know if I find anything
Ok, thanks!
