I’m not sure if this is the best place for this post, so I apologize if anyone is offended. How does declaring things at customs work? I have read about it and understand the point, but I’m wondering how most people handle it. Do you declare every souviner, or just larger things purchased, if any? I know my shopping habits and expect to purchase a few pieces of clothing on my trip, most likely for wear on the trip. Would I declare those?
Most posts on this board say buy things in Europe if you find you need them while there, and I’m just curious how most people handle this. Oh, and if its not obvious, I’m from the US, and making my first trip this summer. Thanks!
