Czech Republic
Wed, 10/03/2007 - 09:28
A lot of people have told me that Prague is a must see if you are going to Europe, so that is definitely on my list but lately I’ve been wondering about the rest of the Czech Republic. I don’t anything about it, I never knew it was so close to Western Europe and I learnt how to spell Czech this week, so that’s an excellent reason for me to go there.[

I was basically wondering what the Czech republic is all about? If you could sum it up in a sentence what would you say? And what was the best and most unique part of the Czech Republic for you?
(All outside of Prague! I’ve already read and heard heaps about Prague.)

There’s two popular day trips outside of Prague: Kunta Hora (where the famed bone church is) and the scenic town of Cesky Krumlov. There’s also the famous brewery town of Ceské Budejovice.
Karlovy Vary is also supposed to be a popular vacation town with spas and hot springs.
It’s not a movie. It’s a country.

things that come to mind when I think Czech: (in order of importance to me)

Although I’ve been to Prague twice, I still dont know much about the country itself, which is what lures me to go back. You should travel to experience and find out for yourself, not to follow and retrace others.
I second the nod for Cesky Krumlov..

Hmmmm You’ve got a point there. So what have you got to say about the Czech Republic that can’t be summed up in a sentence?
