The Daily Budget Question
Wed, 05/20/2009 - 13:47
So, in a year exactly I’ll be packing for my Europe Tour – and I want to make sure that I begin by saving enough money. On average — based on the cities I’ve outlined in either itinerary, how much money (either in USD/Euros because I can convert ) should I worry about spending on things that are NOT primary travel and primary accomodations? There are two of us – we’re both 24 and we’re going to be gone for anywhere from 3 weeks to a month.
I am leaving from New York City with $5000 for 33 days
Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Venice, Rome, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Madrid, Lisbon

I am leaving from JFK and traveling for 92 days
Dublin, Belfast, Liverpool, Edinburgh, London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Venice, Rome, Nice, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Gibraltar, Lisbon, Madrid, Bordeaux

Europe on a budget? Yes please!
Well, that seems kinda subjective.
How well do you know your own likes and dislikes? Will you go to museums?
Beer/Wine can be cheaper, but Coke is somewhat pricey.
Some folks budget for $100 a day, others can get by on less.
Look up how much the attractions you are interested in seeing cost. (you can do this in any guidebook) Also, look into how much public transportation in cities costs, and I think budgeting about 20 euros a day per person for food is sufficient.
London, Salisbury, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, Inverness, Edinburgh, London
Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Rome
Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Bangkok
