- offer valid from 1st July till 31 August
– ticket has to be booked at least 3 days in advance
– a part of the journey must be done with a far distance train (ICE, IC/EC, IR).
– only valid for the booked connection
– No change, no refund. Subject to availability.
– No further discounts like BahnCard rebates, co-traveller rebates or free transport of your own (grand-)children.

Tickets can be bought (and printed) online or from ticket machines.
You can check the availability and book online at the [url=‘http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/english.html’]DB timetable[/url] – if the ticket is available for a connection it is displayed as "from 29,00 EUR" under the columns "saving prices".

If you buy the ticket at DB travel centers or DB agencies it costs EUR 5,00 more.

2. VIVA Sunshine-Spezial
A 1 month network card 2nd class for people not older than 26. EUR 199,-. Includes even ICE trains.

- card is valid 1 month in the period from 15th July till 30th September
– card can be bought starting at 1st July and ending at 15th September
– change/refund before the validation day EUR 15,-. Afterwards no change/refund possible.
– only for people not older than 26.
– No further discounts like BahnCard rebates, co-traveller rebates or free transport of your own children.
– This is not a limited offer like the Summer Special.

Cards can be bought at DB travel centers, DB agencies, DB ticket machines or [url=‘https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/shop/jsp/shop/product_list.jsp?GroupId=665’]online[/url] (in German). But the card cannot be purchased from the conductor in a train.

Just for comparison: a single ticket 2nd class Frankfurt – Berlin with ICE train is EUR 92,-.
