On Tuesday Deutsche Bahn ran the first ever non-French train from continental Europe to Britain. If everything goes according to the German national rail operator’s plan, by 2013 commuters between London and Brussels will have an alternative to Eurostar when crossing under the English Channel. Deutsche Bahn’s service will run at up to 200 miles per hour.
