DFW to Amsterdam
Mon, 03/01/2010 - 18:02
I’ve been planning my trip in August 2010 for a while now and regularly checking airfare’s even though there’s still time until August. I’m not seeing rates less than $1k (not including taxes/fees) for a roundtrip ticket from U.S. (DFW to AMS). I’ve been checking every site there is. I’m also signed up to Farecompare’s alert.
As I understand August is in the high season. Do you think as the time gets closer I’ll be able to get a lower rate than $1k roundtrip in August? If not, I have a chance right now of getting a roundtrip ticket for about $900 including taxes/fees and wondering if I should go ahead and get it or wait to see if I can get a better deal.
I also don’t mind if I can get a deal from DFW to London and then take Ryanair from London to AMS. As long as I can get the total airfare less than a $1k with taxes/fees.
Thanks

It’s unlikely to see anything less than $1000 for this August itinerary. $900 doesn’t seem so bad for it. Have you checked consolidators, and the other tips and links in our new user thread—at the top of this forum?
