Direct flights from Mykonos to Istanbul
Tue, 11/01/2011 - 07:56
Can someone maybe tell me which airline flies directly from Mykonos to Istanbul at an affordable price? I searched on google but everytime an airline comes up, I can’t seem to find the departure city on the list provided
I am leaving from amsterdam with $4000 for 25 days
Amsterdam, London, Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Rome, Mýkonos, Istanbul

I checked ITA, skyscanner, kayak, and a few other sites and I’m fairly sure nobody flies that route directly.
Borajet. New, small, regional, service on this route looks to be seasonal only, and to Istanbul’s smaller airport. As such, there’s no guarantee they’ll be around in 2013, let alone on this route, as small upstart airlines frequently shuffle routes and seasons, often with only 1 season’s notice (~4 months). That said, I’d still bookmark Borajet and keep an eye on it, but know your other flight options — just in case.
I saw Borajet in one of my searches, but noticed Mykonos doesn’t appear on their route map. Is it just that they haven’t updated the map since it’s a seasonal route?
It’s listed on Mykonos Airport’s wikipage, and also came up on Whichbudget as a seasonal route. Maybe they were there this summer? And maybe repeat in future? It could be the best lead she’s got, so hopefully works out for Tania70.
Thanks guys. I’ll look into that and keep my options open. Am sure hoping something direct will pop up before 2013!!

While your number of days in each city seems reasonable, your trip is very rushed since you’re covering such large distances. Remember that any flight takes at least 5 hours with check-in time, flight time and time to get to/from airports. The remote airports used by the low fare airlines can add another hour to one or both ends. End result: A flight in the middle of the day can kill an entire day.
I’d save Barcelona for your next trip.
Thanks for the advice. I only noticed your comment now. Hence my question on my post regarding Amsterdam/…..Germany/Paris. Thanks
