Dublin-London-Paris-Barcelona-Madrid?!
Fri, 11/19/2010 - 08:26
15 days to travel between dublin and madrid…
2 20 something adventurous artsy girls travelling on a budget, wanting to see dublin, london, paris, wine country, barcelona, and leaving from madrid. is this too much? anyone have advice on an itinerary— how long to stay where, what to see, how to travel? thinking of picking up a select railpass as well. foregoing london all-together is an option too. just wondering if we’re biting off more than we can chew for such a short amount of time. what do you think?
I am leaving from Forres, Scotland with $2000 for 18 days

You itinerary will be a little hectic since you’re covering so much distance. You’ll either have lots of travel time or lots of time on buses to airports, in airports, in check-in lines, on airplanes….
Dublin-London: Fly. Check Ryan Air and use www.whichbudget.com to see which low fare airlines fly this route and check our “cheap flights” forum for more links, help and options.
London-Paris: Eurostar, the chunnel train. Look for specials at www.eurostar.com
Paris-Barcelona: Fly or overnight train
The best suggestion for which railpass will be the one you get from “railsaver” which is built into the trip planner. Once your itinerary is closer to “final” use that to figure out which railpass.
