Easter Holiday in New York
Thu, 11/18/2004 - 12:23
I am looking into going to New York this year for a about 5 days at Easter time. Easter is at the end of March this year, is that a good or bad time of year to be going to New York?
Also, is New York really busy during Easter or will it be business as usual in the city?
Thanks to anyone who can give advice!

I’d say that its a good time of year. But where are you from? It might be getting a little more mild, weather wise, but if you’re from a much warmer climate you may think its cold. The city shouldnt’ be overly crowded…there’s an Easter parade, but its not as crazy as the Thanksgiving Day parade.
It could actually turn out to be very nice depending on how early the winter ends this year…things might be blooming already, who knows
Thanks.
I am from the east coast of Canada, so I am not too worried about the cold. I know it is probably not the best time of year to go, but I am just looking to get away for a few days…
Does anyone know of decent hostels in the city with decent prices? I have stayed in a lot of hostels throughout Europe, but I am not very informed on hostels in North America…
