I’ve been planning my eurotrip for quite some time now. I’ve got most of it pretty much settled except for a particular 7-8 days as I make my way through Eastern Europe, between Budapest and Istanbul. Both of these locations are fixed as I will be visiting friends in Budapest, while I’ve already booked flight tickets out of Istanbul.
I would like any suggestions on the cities/towns that I can visit as I make my way from Budapest to Istanbul in 7-8 days. I would like to keep transport options between buses and trains. I have a preference for overnight buses/trains.
To give you an idea of my traveling style, I like a balanced mix of experiences. Not so big on cathedrals as I’ve seen quite a few in Italy and Spain, unless they’re absolutely mindblowing. Museums are alright but I’d really rather be spending my time say, enjoying the outdoors, talking with locals, or trying the food. Some easily-accessible small quaint towns thrown in for good measure would be awesome.
