Don’t know exactly when, but hope to go within a month or so, itinerary is more or less set:

Fly to Hurghada (the cheapest option) – Abu Simbel – Aswan – Luxor – Cairo – Hurghada to fly home. Just several questions:

1) Meredith, could you give the links to your posts on Egypt – the serach function doesn’t seem to function
2) Anyone been to Abu Simbel? Really as great as described?
3) Sound and light shows – they are practically anywhere (Abu Simbel, Luxor, Pyramids) – anybody been to one somewhere? Is there any plot (i.e. if it will be in a unknown language, does it make sence to go anyway)
4) Thinking of Alexandria also – will probably have time but is it really worth it?
5) Finally for now – anyone been to the Western Oaisses (Siwa in particular). They are described as some miracle but are soooo off my way…
