Decided I’ll start a new thread – although Egypt has been discussed recently, I still have some questions.

OK, so after several delays I am 90% going. here are my q’s:
1) Did anyone travell by train between Luxor (or Aswan) and Cairo? To be specific, what is 1st class on this route? As I know, there are wagon-lit trains – sleepers but they are damn epxpensive. And also there are 1st and 2nd class. My frineds travelled in 2nd class – it was a fairly nice sitting train. But what is 1st class – anyone knows?

2) Cairo. Please, don’t kill me but it is quite probable that I would not go into the Egypt Museum. OK, may be go until I become bored – for two hours. And the question is – what besides the museums and Pyramids (I’ll certainly go to Pyramids but that’s another story)?

3) Pyramids. Anyone did both Giza and Saqqara in one day on your own? Any tips/suggestions?
