Hey –

I am meeting up with my friend who lives in Germany when I get to Europe and we are going to travel around. From what I understand, he cannot buy a Eurail pass. Does this mean he must buy each train ticket on an individual basis? This seems very costly. Somebody please give me some advice on the cheapest way for my friend to get from place to place. We are going from Dusseldorf to Berlin, then to Paris, then Barcelona, Amsterdam, and back to his home city near Dusseldorf.

I am travelling from July 7th through July 19th
