EUrail passes not available for people living within Europe?
Tue, 11/22/2011 - 16:05
Eligibility
The Eurail Pass can only be used by residents outside of Europe, the Russian Federation and Turkey
I live in Denmark, and would like to purchase a global train pass.
I went through the “conditions of use” and saw the above mentioned term.
Does this really mean you have to live outside Europe, to make use of the passes?
Thanks in advance,
Carl
Unfortunately, yes. The good news is as a European you can use the interrail pass which is similar.

Thanks for the reply,
Too bad. I were so happy about the prices, hehe.
I have also noted that the Trenhotel trains that run to and around Spain have whopping great concessions for those damn foreigners, while us tax paying Europeans get a pathetic reduction. I haven’t got to the bottom of that, I’ll confirm that if I don’t get it any cheaper.

Yea, it’s pretty crappy. The Eurail Pass seems to have much better pricing. Price point-to-point tickets. Might end up being better.
