Hey, I am currently a student in Umea, Sweden. I am planning trip for Europe early next year or in December. Its really flexible. Its just that i need to use a 30 day Eurail pass or Eurolines pass, because thats the cheapest afaik. Forgive me for saying that on a tourist savvy forum but i am really not interested in food, culture, natural scenaries for that matter. I am more of an academic who wants to study history, architecture, remnants, and values in general. Having said that, i also need to hop quickly from places to places because 1. I have only 30 days on my eurail pass 2. If i can’t see that in one day i don’t need to see that. I would rather spend day watching around and photography and evenings reading about history.

It might be a little too quick with so many places to watch but i think i can manage. Do you have feedback or comments on my itinerary. I might even go to two places a day assuming you don’t need to travel whole day to get to next country in Europe. I plan to keep my food with me or will cook enough for days to come in some youth hostels i might book if i wanted to stay at all.

Questions:

1. What is the best method of carrying money with you ? credit cards? travellers cheque or cash?
2. Does that really get tiresome? because i only need one night sleep to get me going for three more days.
3. If you look at my itinerary, any suggestions to which places i should go there?

I would really appreciate your feedback. Feel free to laugh because my apparent feasibility is minimum but i like risks as long as its not devastating Smile

You risk seeing more trains than cities is what you risk doing. I hardly see how this trip could be enjoyable in 30 days. Simply way too much! You will need to purchase some flights as well. Such as from Madrid to Rome, from Rome to Athens, from Athens to Budapest, unless that is, you want to be sitting in even more trains. Maybe also from Paris to Barcelona, but you can get a sleeper train for that route if you want.

I am leaving from Atlanta, GA with $3000 for 36 days
Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Mostar, Sarajevo, Bol, Makarska, Florence, Málaga, Seville, Barcelona, Ibiza Town
