Hello,
I’m going on a trip for 60 days in europe and i plan do to a lot of mileage and use mostly night train Ive been looking to figure out how much it would cost to reserve a place on a night train if i have an european global pass i can’t find any site to get a price with my card and are u allowed to pay a little extra to be in a 3 bed room instead of a couchette?

Here’s some info about many night trains directly from Eurail:

Your options for upgrading depend on the train (some have two person compartments, others 4, etc.) but you should be able to pay extra to get in a compartment with fewer people/in a higher class of service.

Plan on 4 to 12 euros for a seat, 19 to 29 euros for a berth in a 6 berth couchette. 29 to 49 euros for a berth in a 4 berth T4. If you have an adult railpass (1st class) you can sometimes get a reservation in a T4 for the same price as a couchette.

I would not plan on “mostly night trains.” You often get little if any sleep and it’s very disorienting to arrive in a strange city at morning rush hour. You usually can’t check into your hostel until 2:00 or 3:00 PM when what you really want is a shower and a nap. I try to limit overnight trains to an average of about 1 per week, with no more than 2 in any 7 day period.
