We have booked our flight. We fly from Winnipeg to London in September and return from London in early October (1 month trip)

Our plans are to fly around in europe, except Italy, where we will get a rail pass.

Itinerary is as follows

London – 4 days (not including arival day) – 3 city days + 1 day trip seeing stonehengh, windson castle and bath
Dublin -  3 days – 2 city days + 1 day trip to Kerry or Cork
Paris – 4 days – 3 city days + 1 day trip to Mt St. Micheal’s
Florence – 2 city days – possible 1 extra day on a day trip to Pisa
Rome – 3 days
Naples – 1 city day + 1 day in Capri + 1 day visiting Pompaii
Bari – 2 days
Edenburgh – 2 days (loch ness tour)
London – 1 day – depart the next morning

Any recommendations as to sights that we must see or should squeeze in if possible… It is so exciting to finally plan, my wife and I have been talking about this trip since our mid20’s and finally 4 years later we bit the bullet.

Looks good!
My only quibble is how you plan to see Stonehenge, Windsor and Bath all in one day.
And what do you want to see/do in Bari? It’s just a port town. Do you have to fly out of there?

Expedia offers a day trip that costs some where around $150 CDN that takes you to all three sights (14 hour tour).

Bari has family – my father in law is from there and we have to make a point of seeing it. My wife still has an aunt an uncle there. It will be a nice chance to stay with them, catch-up and eat real homemade Italian food.

Sounds good. Can’t get much better than homemade Italian food.
If you do that 14 hour England trip shortly after arrival, you might find yourself sleeping on the coach, but I understand wanting to do the tour. The ancient baths in Bath are really cool. Have a good time.

I also did a similar tour out of London: went to Bath, Stonehenge and the Cotswolds…..It was rushed though. The only transportation connection that might have made it easier for you would be to go from London to Paris (which i would take the Chunnell ) but i guess you’re going to Dublin then Paris. I hope you get time to see Versailles. It would mean losing a day from Paris (possibly) but i think you need a whole day to see all of Versailles. It’s huge. What’s the attraction for Naples? I’d skip it and add another day to someplace else you’re already going to visit.
