European overland tours
Tue, 03/06/2007 - 02:21
Hi there,
We want to travel from Budapest to Bratislava and on into Prague – considering whether it may be worthwhile doing a bus tour through these countries to see the countryside and give ourselves a break from organising hotels/sights/transport for a small part of our Euro trip.
Anyone done something similar and can recommend it?
Thanks!
Most of us pretty adamant independent travelers. These three cities are all “normal tourist destinations” so arrangements are no more difficult than in the rest of Europe. We visited these three cities by train using Vienna as a hub.
You could certainly do this on a tour although I’m not aware of any tours that hit just these three cities. Most tours miss Bratislava —opting for nearby Vienna instead.
Thanks oldlady – I thought rail would be the best option but just wanted to run it by someone more experienced in this than myself!
Thanks again.
