I am planning my first big trip to europe and am completely lost on the whole planning my itinerary process. I have an idea of what cities I want to visit but as far as transportation and accommodations: I’m clueless! I found this website which made it super easy to plan where I want to go and how long I want to stay there without having to deal with reservations and transportation myself (europeandestinations.com). Thoughts??? Is that site even legit? I found two negative reviews on a scam site…
I’m really glad to have found eurotrip.com, I think if I spend a little more time here I can really solidify the details of my trip.
I am leaving from sacramento, ca with $2500 for 15 days

It’s a travel agency site. There are hundredsof sites like it and many of us use several different sites to plan and book our trips. I have not used or heard of it.
Your best bet for flights would be to visit our “cheap flights” forum and read the “stickies” at the top of the first page. Then read a few old posts. You’ll get great advice there. The “bookings” tab on this page will link to a site that I think is excellent for booking hostels and hotels, but check the “hostels” forum for advice from our collective experience. Using the web to find a hostel and then booking directly with the hostel via their website, e-mail or phone may get you the best price.
We’ll try to answer any questions you have about getting around Europe on this forum. I prefer the train to get from city to city and public transit to get around in a city. I like to rent a car occasionally to explore a fairly small, rural area. There are situations where a cheap flight is faster and cheaper than the train and you’ll sometimes end up on a bus or ferry.
I would say stay away. They may have a few happy customers, but most reviews at ripoff report and other bbb complaints show that they have scammed by booking non-existing hotels and left tourist stranded in foreign countries, including me! Deal with an actual agent- may cost a couple of hundred more dollars, but that’s worth the peace of mind. Cheers!
