EUROTRIP GAME NEEDED!!!!!!!
Sun, 05/03/2009 - 08:50
Hey people,
I am going on a euro trip soon, with 3 other mates all male and age between 21-23, we are young and full of……..lol you get the point
What i was thinking would be a good idea would be to have a continuous game going, maybe points based system, veyr competitive that pushes us for points, something that will make this trip more memorable than it will already be, its a big trip only 5 1/2 weeks but will be full on. Points could be for things that we do, maybe about women we meet etc, things to do with alcohol, stuff like that, or maybe a bit wittier than that. i want it be pretty in depth though, as we are very competitive guys, but also have a sense of simplicity. Something that we will want to play and actually want to win, something we can get really involved in.
I want it to be pretty competitive, this gives us a way to not hold back with our actions, an excuse to talk to chicks and do stupid stuff lol, all about FUN as this is the trip of a lifetime
just something that we can keep up the whole trip, something that we will remember, pushes the boundaries obviously because of the way we have to score points etc, i know this is probably a big task to invent the game but i thought getting help from a few good minds in here would be easier than doing it alone.
I was hoping that someone would have a awsome base game i could work with, or a few ideas to make my trip amazing, please help!!
cheers!

They kind of did that already in An American Warewolf in Paris. a little lame IMO
I get your vibe though…typical guy stuff..
here are a few rules that should apply…
Hooking up with other travelers/backpackers is only worth 1/2 points.
If the night of drinking ends in wetting or soiling one’s self, double points.
And how about points for sneeking things through border checks, like a stray cat in your backpack.
Double points for pickpocketing a gypsy.
Half points for VD.
Bonus Starwood points for each night in a Turkish prison.
haha ok not usable stuff yet, do everyone a favor and think!, this could be golden if done right!
I was thinking of doing the same thing myself. During the day you could have a list of random items you must get from each city, say 10 things. Points awarded for each item you get.
hahahaha. I think pickpocketing gypsies should be done on principle alone.
Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Interlaken, Florence
Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Paris, Brussels
Milan, London
i think pierce91 is geting closer to the right idea, only 40 days left till departure……this is tough
basically, you’re just looking for an international scavenger hunt? well, if you go to berlin, they have 3 different types of the walk/don’t walk “man” at the stop lights….a good one would be to get a picture with all 3 types….there’s the east berliner, the westberliner and i think the euro man. not real sure on the names, as i couldn’t really hear that part of the conversation when it was being explained. also, eat a doner kebab everywhere. they are amazing, cheap and filling. i dream about them

so two of my friends and i are travelling around europe from July 1 – Aug 27, we are from the US (California) and we were already planning on doing this sort of game amongst ourselves. We are all 23 and just finished college. A couple years back we did the same kind of thing here at home. basically during one semester we had a point system for meeting women, it was some kind of progressing scale that you can use your imagination about. The competitive spirit really does make it fun and it really pushes you to get some work done
When/where are you guys going for your trip? these kinds of games work best if we were in the same city so we can compete over a couple girls or team up to bag a group of them. It would be fun to have a USA versus (Australia or UK or Canada or wherever you are from) competition
also i like the idea of having other points for drinking or just doing crazy things (climbing on monuments, swimming in trevi fountain, etc…) because im pretty sure we will be able to give you a good competition for all of these especially socializing and drinking.
hit up a reply and let me know more about your trip plans, we are going:
portugal-spain-Ibiza (huge party scene) -south france – italy – croatia – munich – praha – amsterdam – belgium – paris/bordeaux – end back in madrid.
Lisbon, Seville, Ibiza Town, Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Siena, Rome, Ancona, Split, Zagreb, Munich, Zürich, Prague, Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, Bordeaux, Madrid
I was thinking about a game, this would be one to pass the day rather then just chatting up women and drinking. Each city you go to, you have to buy an item that represents each of the 7 deadly sins. You can use your imagination on how to connect the sin to the item and you get the points as long as you can prove it does make sense.
5 points per item. You get a 15 point bonus if you get every item in a city.
Examples could be:
Lust – Porn DVD
Gluttony – Food
Extravegence – A crown or something
pierce91 your idea is lame and way too expensive for backpackers. BMO has the right idea with the country v country thing. Definately be up for that. you could work out various country/city specific challenges but it’s hard to plan unless you’ve been to the place already. definately on to a good thing but boys. us Aussie’s will dominate
