Time of the Year again..
Will be travelling anytime from
Departure Days: From March 28th-29th-30th
Return days: Apr 7th-8th-9th, 2013
Departure Airport: Newark (primary)
Alternative: JFK, LaGuardia
Arrival Airport: Heathrow (primary)
Alternative: Gatwick, City etc
I am looking for last minute deals. Can leave almost the same day.
Looking for readers who are also looking for tickets to london either direct or via any other cities….
What is the prices you are being quoted?
I am leaving from US and traveling for 11 days
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Hotwire will let you do a search like that. Use the flexible dates feature there. Once you narrow down desired outbound & return date fares, take the best ones to CheapOAir.com to see if you can find better. CheapO often have Virgin Atlantic for less (will show as a “secret carrier” there—but the flight times give it away as Virgin).
$905 total EWR-LHR June 12-19 on nonstop Virgin flights, for example. CheapOAir.com
Don, I cannot seem to find anything less than 1075.00
I am still trying to get something less than 800.00 Do you think this is an impossible price at this special period of the Olympics? etc
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Orbitz has EWR-LHR with a quick connection at Halifax each way for $946 total June 21-28. I use the method(s) I posted for you. United connecting to Air Canada.
$961 total EWR-LHR nonstop 20-27 June on Virgin from OneTravel.com.
I doubt you’ll do better at this point.
Be sure to clear your cache & cookies if you’ve been checking this route a lot lately.
Clearing your cache and cookies is something that you have never said earlier, interesting? Since it is cached, are you suggesting, the airlines is still reflecting to the earlier results and do not refresh with the new fares?
I am going to do it right now,
I have to take my son with me and that is why I have to think how much can I afford to pay?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
1010wins News here indicated buying tickets from Conslidators is the best option for bargain hunters. Do we have any thread here that shows a list of consolidators?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Clearing cache & cookies has been mentioned many times since I started posting on this forum in 1996. If you have been checking a flight a lot, some sites have a nasty practice of hiding lower available fares, so you think the price is going up, in an effort to coerce a sale out of you. Clear your cache & cookies.
There used to be a consolidator thread—woefully outdated, however. Many of them had gone out of business since it was first posted ~ 10? years ago. Try the search box near top right of this page.
Bookingbuddy.com includes several consolidators in it’s search. That’s a source that I have mentioned many times on this forum over the years.
I hope that helps. What’s your billing address?
Don, I postponed my trip before the Olympics to after. I do not see any discounting going on. Have you seen any fall of the fares? starting from now?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Stilll no discounting, very unusual,
1 day earlier, Virgin moved down to 911.00 but today it is back to its higher price of 1500+?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
I just randomly checked midweek mid-Sept. outbound, return midweek mid-Oct. and see $787 total for nonstop on American, EWR-LHR. This from consolidator 1800FlyEurope.com
Back again to check any price wars going on?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
I find 876.00 as the cheapest now, has anyone seen anything lower?
from EWR to LHR on March 28th?
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Best I see is $823 Virgin from EWR 28th-9th. Expedia.com. Check Expedia for details; that’s all I know.
I know, however, I need to return on the 7th.
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
