Ferry from Barcelona to Rome
Tue, 08/11/2009 - 10:19
Hey guys, I’m gonna be taking a ferry from Barcelona to Rome, and was wondering how this process goes down. I’m traveling with a buddy of mine and it’s our first eurotrip. I found the website (http://www.aferry.to…), and I know which Ferry I’ll be taking (Grimaldi Lines, Barcelona – Civitavecchia) but I’m not sure how the payment goes down.
We purchased the Eurail Youth Pass (8 days, 4 countries), and I think we’re supposed to get some sort of discount on Ferry Rides. Basically, do I preoreder the ticket online and have it shipped to my house? Or do I order the ticket in person to get the discount? ANy help would be appreciated.
I am leaving from Montreal, Canada with $2000 for 22 days

I just took this ferry. its about 75 euro with the discount. you need to go online and get the email address to email them. There is an address on the website. You will need to send them a copy of your eurail pass as well as credit card infomation. i did it all online and they email a copy of the ticket. it was a aggrevating process but all worked out ok. make sure you dont wait for the last minute.
Hey, thanks for the response! I got just a couple more questions:
Did you book on the site I listed above (http://www.aferry.to…)? What accomodation did the 75 euros get you (Berth inside cabin/outside cabin, pullman suite junior suite, owner suite). Also how long did it take for you to receive your tickets? We’re leaving on the night of the 21st. Thanks for anyhelp.
